About
Third Ground is a field journal for those who find themselves drawn to the edges — the hedgerows, the creek banks, the patches of sky between canopy gaps.
We write from the ground up: close observation, honest description, the kind of attention that only comes from staying in one place long enough to notice what changes.
The name
"Third ground" borrows from ecological edge theory — the rich, productive zone where two distinct habitats meet. Not one thing or the other, but something that could only exist at the meeting point.
